AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX RATE FOR THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE, FOR THE TAX YEAR 2021
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE,
TEXAS:
That we, the City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, do hereby levy or adopt the tax rate
of$0.4420 per$100.00 valuation for this city for tax year 2021, as follows:
$ 0.4245 for the purpose of maintenance and operation.
$ 0.0175 for the payment of principal and interest on bonds.
$ 0.4420 Total Tax Rate
THIS TAX RATE WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS
THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.48 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE
TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY
APPROXIMATELY $-12.30.
The Tax Assessor/Collector is hereby authorized to assess and collect the taxes of the City of
Stephenville,Texas, employing the above tax rate.
