The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Stephenville, Texas, convened on May 10, 2017,at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 298 West Washington Street,for the purpose of a regular business meeting,with the meeting being open to the public and notice of said meeting,giving the date,time,place and subject thereof, having been posted as prescribed by Chapter 551,Government Code,Vernon's Texas Codes Annotated,with the following members present,to wit: Chairman Mark Wallace Commissioners Richard Petronis Woodrow Horner Nick Robinson Kerry Schindler Metta Collier Lisa LaTouche Bill Muncey Justin Allison Absent Janet Whitley Others Attending Jeremy Allen, Interim Director of Planning and Building Services Cindy Stafford,sitting in for P&Z Secretary I. Call to Order. The meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission was called to order at 5:30 p.m.on Wednesday, May 10,2017,by Chairman Mark Wallace. II. Consider approval of minutes of the April 19,2017 meeting MOTION by Richard Petronis,second by Kerry Schindler,to approve the minutes of the April 19, 2017 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.MOTION CARRIED. III. Public Hearing on Case RZ2017-001.Applicant,Joseph Hansen,representing Serenity Builders, LLC,is requesting a rezone of 370 Park Street,being Lots 2 and 3, Block 28,Frey First Addition, City of Stephenville, Erath County, Texas, from Industrial District (1) to Multiple-Family Residential District(R-3) Jeremy Allen presented this matter, stating that the property meets the requirements for R-3 zoning. Chairman Wallace opened a public hearing. Speaking in Favor of Rezoninx: Joseph Hansen,303 Bahama,Granbury,Texas,stated that he plans to build a single-family residence on subject property. MOTION by Richard Petronis,second by Metta Collier,to recommend the approval of the rezoning request for Lots 2 and 3, Block 28,Frey First Addition, City of Stephenville. MOTION CARRIED. Chairman Wallace announced that Commissioner Janet Whitley had submitted her letter of resignation from the Planning and Zoning Commission effective immediately, citing health reasons. IV.
